My Approach
At Vocation Wellness, my work combines psychological coaching, reflective practice, and evidence-based wellbeing science to help individuals and organisations develop clarity, resilience, and meaningful performance.
My approach draws on three complementary foundations:
Reflective Practice
In busy professional environments, people are often expected to act quickly without having time to reflect. My work creates structured space for thoughtful reflection, allowing individuals and teams to examine their experiences, recognise patterns, and gain deeper insight before making important decisions.
Positive Psychology
I integrate the science of positive psychology, particularly the PERMA model of wellbeing, to help individuals and organisations build the conditions that allow people to flourish. This includes strengthening positive emotions, engagement, relationships, meaning, and achievement.
Trauma-Informed Leadership
Many workplace challenges — including conflict, stress, and disengagement — are influenced by how people experience pressure, uncertainty, and change. By incorporating trauma-informed principles, I help leaders and teams create psychologically safe environments where trust, communication, and collaboration can thrive.
The Reflective Edge Method
Rather than rushing toward quick solutions, The Reflective Edge focuses first on understanding. By stepping back from the pace of everyday life, individuals gain deeper insight into who they are, how they arrived at their current position, and how they want to move forward.
The methodology follows three core stages.
1. Reflection
The process begins by slowing the pace of thinking and creating space to explore personal experience.
Through guided reflection, clients examine:
- their values
- their motivations
- past experiences and patterns
- the factors shaping their current situation
Reflection allows people to reconnect with their authentic perspectives rather than reacting automatically to external pressures.
2. Clarity
As reflection deepens, clarity naturally begins to emerge.
Clients start to see their strengths, challenges, and opportunities with greater objectivity. This stage often reveals new insights about personal purpose, career direction, leadership style, or life priorities.
Clarity provides a strong foundation for meaningful change.
3. Direction
Only once clarity is established do we turn toward the future.
Direction that emerges from reflection and understanding tends to be more stable, more authentic, and more aligned with personal values.
At this stage, practical strategies, goals, and actions are developed to support sustainable progress and long-term fulfilment
